Overview
Exiting application programmer
position in growing-phase Company in the software-as-service
industry! Oryx Software Inc, an independent software vendor
(ISV) based in Houston, TX that develops business applications
for small and medium businesses (SMB). Oryx Software seeks
candidates who love a challenge and want to be part of a growing
company.
Summary of essential job functions
In this position, the Application
Programmer designs, builds, tests, deploys and maintains
applications to meet specific customer requirements using
Microsoft’s technologies including the .Net Infrastructure, SQL
Server RDBMS amongst other.
Applications developed include
Enterprise Resource Planning (E.R.P.) systems, e-commerce
applications and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
integrations.
The applicant will also be
responsible for developing and establishing standard
methodologies for internally managing source code, customer
requests (enhancements, bug reports, etc.).
When developing business
applications, the developer must gain a thorough understanding
of the business processes and constraints. Examples of
applications are: ERP systems for companies in the plastics
recycling industry, e-commerce applications for companies in the
mail-forwarding industry, etc.
